Real specialises in collages using different materials. “My pictures are abstractions from nature or expression of the subconscious. My aim is to show a balance between form and colour, static and dynamic forces and at the same time express, with different shades of light, a strongly felt spiritual presence.”

Real was born in Zurich, Switzerland. She studied under Gusti Guldener, a well known Swiss Artist, from 1975–78. In 1979 she took a Masterclass of the International Summer School of Modern Art in Salzburg, Austria (A.Bitran, Paris – former student of F.Leger, France). In 1980 she undertook a Painting Course in Meran, Italy (G.Vetter, Strasbourg).

She is a Member of the Society of Swiss Painters, Sculptors and Architects (Visarte), a Fellow of the Free Painters and Sculptors, London (FFPS).

Real has had numerous solo, shared and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. She has work in private collections in Switzerland, England, Germany and the USA.
